Clincial Trial Coordinator / Orthoptist

About the job

Our client is a leading eye care centre dedicated to providing exceptional services to patients of all ages. Their team of experienced ophthalmologists, orthoptists, and support staff work collaboratively to diagnose and treat Medical Retina, Surgical Retina, Cataract Surgery and Glaucoma. 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Trial Coordinator / Orthoptist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing clinical orthoptic services, coordinating clinical trials, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing various diagnostic imaging including; OCT, fundus photography and angiography, retinal photography, biometry, immersion ultrasonography, topography, and Humphrey Visual Fields.
  • Assisting doctors with minor procedures and intravitreal injections.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with retinal disease, cataracts and glaucoma.
  • Manage Clinical Trials including study start-up, patient consultation, liaising with trial sponsors and data entry.
  • Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments, managing referrals, and communicating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of the practice.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Orthoptics.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience using Medilink preferred but not essential.
